Roark Hyouta
"Call me Roark the Rock!"
Age 23
Gender Male
Home Oreburgh
Pokemon captured Aerodactyl, Probopass, Rampardos, Golem, and Tyranitar.

Born in Canalave, his father being Byron, Roark grew up around there and Iron Island, where he spent a significant amount of his childhood. There, he became fascinated by rocks, much to Byron's chagrin, who'd rather have him interested in fossils. Being brought up in fear of his father's shovel, he kept most of his rocks to himself, so that his father would not see them. In his first few years of adulthood, he moved to Oreburgh, a small mining town, where he helped considerably with the projects. When he grew up to be an adult, he enlisted to become Gym Leader of Oreburgh, losing to Riley, but Riley stepping down as he thought Byron's son should take the place.

Rocket Takeover

While not around by the time of the Rocket Takeover, he is remaining on neutral ground about the ordeal with no interest in taking sides. He did, however, open up a theoretical Neutral Club for like-minded people to gather.

Roark's personality is somewhat hard to fathom. He's consistently crazy and forms crackpot theories with his two friendly Gym Leaders, Volkner and Gardenia, which while he has shown he has the intelligence to form highly complex plans, they're never really any kind of sane. He was the mastermind behind Volkner's cardboard box escape from the hospital. In terms, he is a Cloud Cuckoo Lander.
